Asiana IDT (President & CEO Chang-Kyu Kim) operates the Love Blood Donation Campaign for two weeks this year, from June 1 to 12, 2009.
The Company has been operating the Love Blood Donation Campaign on an annual basis, to mark World Blood Donor Day (June 14), and the initiative is one of the Group’s seven initiatives to be “a Beautiful Company.”
It is expected that approximately 600 employees and executives of Asiana IDT will participate in the Campaign. This year’s Blood Donation Campaign was launched throughout all subsidiaries of Kumho Asiana Group including Asiana Airlines and Korea Express.
The blood donation certificates donated by the participants in this Campaign will be delivered to children who are suffering from cancer and leukemia.
Kumho Asiana Group entered into a blood donation agreement with the Republic of Korea National Red Cross in 2004, and agreed to donate blood on a biennial basis.
Since 2006, the Company has operated blood donation campaigns at the Group level. Kumho Asiana donates the blood donation certificates collected through the annual Love Blood Donation Campaign to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, and has donated 6,080 blood donation certificates between 2006 and 2008.
